English 9 is the required freshmen level English course. Major works, including Romeo and Juliet, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Odyssey, are studied, along with short story and poetry units. The course is literature-based with writing assignments stemming from the works studied. Vocabulary work is also emphasized.
